❤️ of the Matter:
We could prevent most conflicts by asking ourselves, "What would love do?" As followers of Christ, we are not expected to be flawless. However, we are called to be different from the world. When we fail to do so, we weaken our message.
The BIG 📸:
I took my heart off the individual before me and set my intellect on corporate metrics, looming deadlines, and an overwhelming workload, which caused me to lose it with a colleague in a chess match over time.
A fool, by definition, is someone who is not sensible and lacks good judgment. In other translations, it’s someone who is made to appear ridiculous.
Isn’t this the picture of the individual cussing out the barista for making his coffee wrong a second time or the individual running late who causes a scene because they believe everyone should be on their time?
Selfishness. But if we stopped to ask, “What would love do?” everything changes!
The 🍞 of Life:
A fool is quick-tempered, but a wise person stays calm when insulted. - Proverbs 12:16
What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you? - James 4:1
Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers. - 1 Timothy 4:16
